Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows

The usual book review (you can read it even if you haven't read the book, there are no spoilers).

The adventures of getting it in the first place, I will post later.

Now, a few qualms with this book:

1) Finished it in 4 hours (1 AM to 5 AM). I detest it when that happens
2) The book could have been a lot shorter... atleast 300 pages shorter. The middle just drags along, way too much

But anyway, the book is a continuation of book 6, in the sense that the horcrux hunt is on, voldy is way too powerful. In between, you also have the Deathly Hallows (pretty nifty name, I must say :) )

For some reason, I did not find this book as dark as the previous ones. It is a typical last part of any fantasy series, in which the dark lord has to fall, there is a war, and there is a mad rush to tie all ends up. It is, of course, a little childish, but I think one newspaper put it well (I forget which one), it is more of a school story, isn't it? Well, so far, yes... this one is an out and out fantastical adventure.

(Given that this is just a few minutes since I have read the book), I would say that the last part provided more page turning moments than the previous ones... it is a little less silly (just a little, mind it). I was worried that it would not live up to the hype... but it does (and there beauty is that there is no overkill). I liked it, definitely amongst my favorite parts of the series :)
