Finally...

Finally the TRS minor II got over, and I have to admit, it is such minors that strengthen my impression that we are extremely inefficient and useless when it comes to solving problems that require any thought. What should have actually not taken more than 4 hours (6 hours at most) has actually taken us days.

What I find even more strange (or pathetic, however one chooses to look at it) is that it is this collection of inefficient people that is most sought after by the industry. IITians are not good, in fact, they are not even up to the mark. It is just that many of the others are worse than us.

This situation is actually exemplified in our grading system itself. Quite a few of us end up with good grades only because the rest of the lot is performing worse, not because we are actually good. The significance of 'relativity' is properly appreciated only now.

Much as all of us hate to admit it, Prof. Sunil Nath is right. Our levels do go down from the first year.
